Terms of Use

Nenne Terms of Use

Effective date: October 27, 2026

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Nenne app (the “App”) provided by Jaemin Lee (“Leya”, the “Developer”) and the subscriptions and in-app purchases offered in the App (“Paid Plans”), as well as the rights and obligations of the Developer and users. Please read these Terms and the Privacy Policy before using the App or buying a Paid Plan. These Terms were originally written in Korean; if the translations differ, the Korean version prevails to the extent permitted by law.

Article 1 (Operator)

Article 2 (Definitions)

Article 3 (Effect and changes)

(1) These Terms are posted on the Website and on the App’s subscription screen, and take effect when you use the App or buy a Paid Plan.

(2) The Developer may change these Terms to the extent permitted by law. Changes will be announced on the Website and in the App at least 7 days before they take effect, with the effective date and the reason; changes unfavorable to users will be announced at least 30 days in advance.

(3) If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you may stop using the App and cancel your Subscription. If the announcement stated that not objecting by the effective date will be treated as consent and you do not object, you will be deemed to have agreed to the changed Terms.

(4) Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by applicable laws, including Korea’s Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, and the Content Industry Promotion Act, the Content User Protection Guidelines, and the terms of each app store.

Article 4 (The service)

(1) The App provides a nap timer and wake-up alarms that ring only through earphones, nap history, and other features for free, and shows ads during free use. Features needed for alarms to ring correctly (earphone detection, blocking speaker output, handling earphone disconnection, and so on) are provided for free regardless of Paid Plans.

(2) The App does not require an account, and alarms, history, and settings are stored on your device. If you change devices or delete the App, information stored on the device may not be transferred or may be deleted. Usage events such as nap starts, completions, cancellations, and length may be sent for analytics; the full local history is not uploaded. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Article 5 (Nature of alarms and user precautions)

(1) Alarms depend on your device’s operating system, notification and background permissions, battery-saving settings, silent or focus modes, the connection status and battery of your earphones, and defects in the device or earphones. Depending on these conditions, an alarm may ring late or not at all. In earphone mode, the App is designed to make no sound when earphones are disconnected. You can also choose speaker mode. See the FAQ for output exceptions when an iPhone is locked.

(2) For events where missing an alarm could cause serious harm, such as exams, work, transportation, or medication, please do not rely on the App alone; use another alarm as well.

(3) Listening to loud sound through earphones for a long time can damage your hearing. Set alarm volumes to a safe level.

Article 6 (Paid Plans)

(1) Paid Plans consist of a monthly Subscription, an annual Subscription, and a Lifetime Plan. The price, service period, and availability of a free trial for each product are shown on the App’s subscription screen and in the app store’s payment sheet before purchase. Prices follow the local currency and taxes set by the app store.

(2) While a Paid Plan is active, it provides the following benefits. Details follow the comparison table on the subscription screen.

(3) The Developer may add new features to Paid Plans. Reducing or removing paid benefits is governed by Article 14.

Article 7 (Payment and automatic renewal)

(1) Paid Plans are paid for with the payment method of the app store from which you downloaded the App. Payment approval, receipts, and payment method management follow that app store’s terms and policies.

(2) Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price at the end of each service period, and the renewal is charged to your app store account within 24 hours before the current period ends.

(3) You can cancel a Subscription at any time. To stop automatic renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, as follows. Deleting the App does not cancel a Subscription.

(4) After you cancel, you will not be charged for the next renewal, and you can keep using the Paid Plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. Fees for the remaining period are not refunded except as provided in Article 10.

Article 8 (Free trials and the Lifetime Plan)

(1) Eligible users are offered a 7-day free trial of the annual Subscription; monthly Subscriptions and Lifetime Plans are excluded. Check the App’s subscription screen and the store checkout for actual eligibility and the price after the trial.

(2) When you start a free trial, you are told the date the trial ends, the amount and frequency of the charges that follow, and how to cancel, and your consent to the conversion to a paid Subscription is obtained. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid Subscription and you are charged when the trial ends. Depending on the app store’s policy, cancelling during a trial may end the trial immediately.

(3) The Lifetime Plan is a one-time purchase without automatic renewal that you can keep using with the app store account used to buy it for as long as the Developer provides the App and Paid Plans. “Lifetime” does not guarantee service for the rest of your life; if the service ends, Article 14 applies.

Article 9 (Price changes)

(1) The Developer may change the prices of Paid Plans, and new prices are shown on the subscription screen and in the app store.

(2) If the renewal price of an active Subscription is increased, you will be told before the increase, in accordance with applicable law and app store policies, about the increase, its effective date, the prices before and after, and how to decline or cancel, and any required consent will be obtained. If you do not agree, the Subscription will not renew after the current period ends.

(3) No additional charge is made for service periods already paid for or for a Lifetime Plan already purchased when prices change.

Article 10 (Withdrawal and refunds)

(1) In accordance with applicable law, you may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days from the date of purchase (or, if a free trial converted to paid, from the date of conversion). However, because Paid Plans are digital content whose supply begins as soon as payment is made, withdrawal may be limited under Article 17(2) of Korea’s Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce once you have used paid benefits. In that case, the Developer takes the measures required by law, such as stating this on the purchase screen or offering a free trial.

(2) If a Paid Plan differs from how it was described or advertised, or is provided differently from the contract, you may withdraw within 3 months from the date of supply, or within 30 days from the date you became or could have become aware of it.

(3) Because the app stores process payments, refunds are also made through the app stores.

(4) If you cannot use a Paid Plan for reasons attributable to the Developer, the Developer will compensate you in accordance with applicable law and the Content User Protection Guidelines, for example by extending the unused period or issuing a refund. If you contact the Developer, the Developer will check your store order number and guide and assist you through the refund process.

(5) When a purchase is refunded, the right to use that Paid Plan ends. If an app store’s refund policy is more favorable to you than these Terms, that policy applies.

Article 11 (Purchases by minors)

(1) If a minor buys a Paid Plan without the consent of a legal guardian, the minor or the legal guardian may cancel the contract under the Korean Civil Act. Cancellation may be limited if the purchase was made within property the guardian allowed the minor to dispose of, or if the minor used deception to be believed to be an adult.

(2) Cancellation can be requested through the app store procedures in Article 10(3), and the Developer will provide guidance if contacted. Guardians can restrict purchases by minors with each app store’s purchase approval and family controls.

Article 12 (Restoring purchases and after a Paid Plan ends)

(1) On a device signed in to the same app store account, you can use Restore Purchases in the App to use your Paid Plan again. Paid Plans bought on the App Store cannot be transferred to Google Play, or vice versa.

(2) When a Subscription ends, is cancelled, or is refunded, ads are shown again and adding or changing paid features is restricted. However, so that you do not miss alarms, existing alarms created with paid features, with their sounds and volumes, and existing wake-up alarms beyond the free limit are not automatically turned off or deleted and keep ringing as set. My Sounds files stored on your device are not deleted.

Article 13 (My Sounds)

(1) You may add only audio files you have the right to use lawfully as My Sounds, and you are responsible for any infringement of others’ copyrights or other rights.

(2) My Sounds files are stored only on your device and are not sent to the Developer’s servers. They are deleted when you delete the App.

(3) So that alarms do not ring silently or loud enough to harm your hearing, the App checks the format, size, length, and loudness of files you add. Files that do not meet the criteria may not be added, and the playback volume of very loud files is lowered automatically.

Article 14 (Changes and discontinuation)

(1) The Developer may change features or screens to improve the App. Some features may become difficult to keep providing because of changes to operating systems or app store policies, or for technical reasons.

(2) If paid benefits are reduced or removed, the change, the reason, and the effective date will be announced in the App and on the Website at least 30 days in advance. If the App or Paid Plans are discontinued, this will also be announced at least 30 days before the end date.

(3) If, under paragraph (2), the Developer can no longer provide benefits you have paid for, the Developer will refund the fees for the remaining Subscription period or provide equivalent compensation in accordance with applicable law and the Content User Protection Guidelines. The Lifetime Plan will be handled according to the criteria set by law and those guidelines, taking into account the period you have used the service since purchase.

Article 15 (User obligations)

You must not:

Article 16 (Intellectual property)

The rights to the App and to the alarm sounds, designs, text, and logos it contains belong to the Developer or the respective rights holders. The Developer grants you a non-transferable right to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the app store’s usage rules.

Article 17 (Limitation of liability)

(1) The Developer is not liable for damage caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, outages or policy changes of app stores, carriers, or operating system providers, defects in devices or earphones, or your device settings or refusal of permissions.

(2) The Developer is not liable for damage caused by an alarm not ringing or ringing late due to the nature of alarms described in Article 5, unless the Developer acted intentionally or with gross negligence.

(3) Nothing in this Article limits the Developer’s liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any rights you have that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Article 18 (Additional terms for the App Store)

If you downloaded the App from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies together with these Terms, and you acknowledge that:

Article 19 (Contact and dispute resolution)

(1) Send questions and complaints about the App and Paid Plans to contact@nenneapp.com. The Developer will review and respond without delay, and will tell you the reason and timeline if handling takes longer.

(2) If a dispute is not resolved, you may seek consultation or mediation from the Korea Consumer Agency (www.kca.go.kr, consumer hotline 1372 in Korea) or the Korea Content Dispute Resolution Committee (www.kcdrc.kr).

Article 20 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

(1) These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Lawsuits between the Developer and a user are brought before the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

(2) If the laws of the country where you live mandatorily give consumers greater protection than these Terms, these Terms do not limit that protection.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on October 7, 2026.

These Terms were revised on October 20, 2026, and take effect on October 27, 2026 (key changes: a more specific list of paid benefits, clarification of free-trial eligibility and plans, explanation of earphone and speaker output modes, and notice of nap usage event transmission).
