Nenne Safety
When headphones disconnect, alarm playback stops immediately
If headphones disconnect while an alarm is playing, Nenne immediately stops the alarm playback. It does not switch the alarm to the phone speaker.
A headphone alarm lets you rest briefly without disturbing people nearby. If headphones are removed or a wireless connection drops while the alarm is playing, Nenne immediately stops playback. The alarm does not continue through the phone speaker.
Nenne checks for connection changes while an alarm is playing, not just when it begins. Once it detects a disconnection, it ends alarm playback immediately. This is a stop, not a switch to another audio output.

A cautious choice
When the connection breaks, playback stops
Wired headphones can come out by accident: a cable can catch as you move in your sleep, or a wireless connection can end because of distance or battery life. In that moment, Nenne stops the alarm straight away. It does not redirect it to another audio output.
If Nenne detects that a wired or wireless headphone connection has been lost during alarm playback, it immediately ends the playback. As a result, sound does not continue through the phone speaker in a quiet space.
Quiet by design
A promise that may go unnoticed
Most of the time, this feature stays out of sight. When the alarm plays through your headphones and ends as expected, there is little reason to think about it. In a library, office, on public transport, or in a shared room, though, a small detail can matter a great deal.
Nenne is not meant to be an alarm that fills a room. It is meant to give a quiet reminder to the person who needs it. Immediately stopping playback when the headphone connection is lost is part of that promise, and makes the app predictable when circumstances change.
Before you rest
Please check it in your usual setup
The point at which a connection change is detected can vary with the headphones, connection method, phone, and operating system. Because alarm playback stops immediately after a disconnection is detected, we recommend trying a short alarm once with the headphones and phone you normally use—especially before an important rest or appointment.
Check that wired headphones fit securely, and check the connection and battery when using Bluetooth headphones. If Nenne behaves differently from what you expect, please tell us which device and headphones you used and what the connection state was. Real-world use helps us continue making Nenne more careful and reliable.
